A quick announcements to the parents of Pack 490, our first pack meeting is going to be on September 20th at the school at 7pm.

I’d like to invite all Parents and boys from Kindergarten to 5th grade to our fall recruiting event.

We will be meeting on MondaySeptember 13th at 7pm at Rockford Elementary in the commons area. We will have a short informational meeting that explains what Cub Scouts is and how it can benefit your family. We will also have a question and answer session to answer any questions you may have. We will have applications for those interested as well as staff to help with the application process.

Let’s show the people of Rockford our scouting spirit as we march in this year’s River Days Parade! We will be handing out freezees and we will have our cubmobile winners riding on the float again.

The parade starts at noon on Sunday August 15th. Line up starts around 11am up at the mall.  See you there!

This year as an exciting new fundraiser Pack 490 is going to be selling popcorn and peanuts at the River Days Carnival.  We are looking for some cubs to help out! If you’d like to help please contact your den leader. It could even help you earn your next rank!

And remember, fundraising not only helps the pack to go, it also helps the Cub Scout GROW!

Get ready for another exciting Cubmobile race!

Saturday, August 14th at 10am.

Cedar St between Ash and Maple.

Come one, come all! Bring your Cubmobile and be ready for some good times. We will be racing at the same place as last year, up on the hill by the middle school. We will try to have extra cubmobile cars for those that need them.  Your den leader should be emailing out the guidlines for the cubmobiles shortly. Remember to bring your helmets! Please RSVP to your den leader so we can get a rough head count.

Please note that the final pack meeting of the spring will be on the 17th of May at 7pm at Riverside Park.

Get ready to burn some of that stored up winter energy off at our pack swimming event! The scouts will be swimming at Safari Island in Waconia from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday the 13th of March.
